Bill Hanks represented the Kiwanis Club of Homewood- Mountain Brook as it was presented the Howard Yielding Award at the 90th Annual District Convention in Gadsden, Alabama this weekend. This award recognized the club’s Stormwater Awareness Medallion Project that was executed under the direction of Past President Chuck Kelly. Not only did this project provide a lasting presence in the two communities and raise awareness of this important ecological issue, but also built ties with the Boy Scouts of America. Past President Kelly solicited their assistance with placement of these medallions throughout the area thoroughfares.
