Children’s Hospital Tree Decorating

November 12, 2008

Kiwanis Christmas Tree

kiwnais-tree-2008

The Homewood/Mountain Brook Kiwanis Club tree has caught the eye of many and holds a special place in the heart of one couple from Pell City.

Charles and Jan Trotter have the opportunity to select any of the many trees designed as part of the Illuminations event at Children’s Hospital.  2008 is the 2nd year the couple has chosen the Toy Tree.  They love the originality and beauty the tree provides but moreover, they donate the tree and the toys to the Lakeside Hospice in Pell City, Alabama.  The tree is enjoyed in their home for a few weeks, and then the Trotters take the tree and toys on Christmas Eve to the children at the hospice center.  This makes for a truly special holiday time for the children and families who benefit from your club’s generosity.

On behalf of the Trotters, thank you for supporting Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
